New Framework 2.0 launched!

Download framework

New! The Framework has been updated and now includes pointers and findings from two pilots completed by ECNL with the tech company Discord and the City of Amsterdam who were developing “scan bikes,” an image recognition service for public spaces.

The pilots also involved the testing of a Blueprint for Rights-centred AI in Public participation building on ECNL's analysis "AI in Public Participation: Hope or Hype".

We were delighted that the Framework was considered comprehensive and e,ective by the pilot organisations and an analysis by Stanford University. The small additions were useful practical and technical considerations and the core elements of the importance of a Shared Purpose, Trustworthy Process and Visible Impact remained unchanged.

The findings are indicated in the Framework 2.0 document which is free to use, though acknowledgement and feedback would be appreciated.
